The Institute of Criminal Law has 6 faculty members, with 5 having Ph.D. degrees, 4 professors and 2 associate professors. The institute’s main research areas include China criminal law, foreign criminal law, international criminal law, criminal law policies, criminal law enforcement studies, criminology, and criminal psychology. The University Center form Criminal Law Studies takes initiatives to conduct major research projects on criminal law with clear emphasis on the positive interactions between theory and practices, Chinese and foreign perspectives in criminal law studies.The SDU Center for Criminal Compliance Studies focuses closely on the forefront theories in criminal law, and actively works to build the cooperative platform for the academia and the legal professionals. This Center has made outstanding achievements in criminal compliance studies.
